BAYTOWN, TX, Dec 28, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Sustainable Power Corp. (PINKSHEETS: SSTP) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Michael Garjian as Chairman of the Board, Chief Technology Officer, and Vice-Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Board. Following this board action, John H. Rivera, SSTP's majority stockholder, announced the transfer, by proxy, of all his stock voting rights to Mr. Garjian. "With this action, I am excited and confident that SSTP will continue to achieve everything I have been hoping for during my decades of development work," announced Rivera, who is now focusing his efforts on innovations that will further the success of SSTP.
M. Richard Cutler will continue as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. "I welcome the addition of Michael Garjian who will continue to help with the significant responsibilities for understanding the technology and commercialization of our products that are resulting from the verification of the company's licensed process by Texas A&M University," said Cutler. "His substantial expertise in biofuel technologies and other energy technologies, as well as his presence as a seasoned innovator, manufacturer, business advisor, scientist, and community economic development leader will serve the corporation well as we move forward."

During 35 years as a manufacturer, Garjian was granted nine worldwide technology patents and employed more than 400 individuals manufacturing and distributing his inventions globally. His past work was derived from his knowledge in sciences and disciplines including agriculture, paper manufacture, materials science, glass manufacture and fabrication, plasma physics, high energy electronics, alternative fuels, biofuel production, biofuels in transportation, and biochar.

latest sell-off,imo, is giving a buying opportunity, stock is just above where the last rally started that took it up to 0.024, 200 day remains 0.011 and the 50 is 0.012. it is still in an upward channel going back to 10/29

I believe SSTP could possibly run with the news and we can see some price appreciation

Suggest you look into the company SSTP which is the only US green company commercially capability of transforming garbage pellets into high grade biofuel with it's side product of fertilizer (the highest grade fertilizer with no pollution) via its proprietary reactor.... and to have it's fuel directly fed into the most powerful Siemens generator yielding electricity. SSTP currently stands unnoticed, just prior to deals being disclosed. Company will break loose shortly with mind-boggling news with heavy investment from recognizable names. Major deal is just being completed in the Dominican Republic. When Obama's electrical grid is in place in about 3 years...watch out. Now this is something to read about. They have also created a “Black box” that involves a hydrogen injection system that can be retrofitted to cars, boats… and yes, even to the garbage to electric proprietary process. They have vehicles running with the black box at 50% greater efficiency. No other company comes close…

Good things are coming to us. I clearly see us being rid of oil cartels....We've certainly have had no help from our domestic oil companies much akin to the problems we've had in the car industry.

His experince in the biofuel and other engery sources are outstanding. He has vast knowlage in manufacturing and science which will help development of future products and refine the ones we are using now!!! Imo the company has an eye for the future and is trying to make alternitive fuel supply. This company should have a great run!!!

hey MIKE75,STOCKHOPPER i appreciate the information alot but it would proably be more helpful is a news link or a copy of the news.I also dont appreciate reading the same thing twice. I understand that Michael Garjian has just been hired and you both talk very highly of him. I would appreciate it if next time you guys post you read what your writing as well as others.Due to the simple fact you both told me he is a great asset to the SSTP team but give me no reason why i would think hes so good. Please next time pay attention and maybe send a news link or a real reason why i would invest in a stock because some random guy was hired.
